Indulto: an original play by Tami Monsod and members of the ensemble. “A woman (torera) in the bullring is rare. Equally rare is the act of indulto. the “pardoning” or sparing the life of an etraordinary noble bull (toro) that charges bravely, honestly and tirelessly. It is a great honor for a torero to fight a bull that is awarded indulto. – from the program notes for Indulto
ISM’s IASAS dance this year is divided into three parts; each story is independent, though all fall under the common theme of darkness.
Obscurum portrays intensity from beginning to end, with the bias to the darker side.
